Vimbi is Deputy Chairman Membership of Melton and Syston Conservative Association since September 2023, previously she was DCM for Rutland and Melton from June 2021 until the Boundary Commission changes. She is also on the Fundraising Committee and is a member of Conservative Women’s Organisation.
Vimbi holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Leicester and has worked in the third sector for many years. She stood as a candidate to represent Somerby ward on Melton Borough Council in 2023 and currently works sitting on a Local Authority Fostering Panel as an Independent Panel Member.
In her downtime Vimbi enjoys gardening, travelling and horse riding as pastimes.
She says “I feel incredibly blessed to live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country and am dedicated to the enhancement of the lives of everyone in my locality. I get involved and keep myself busy with village life as an active member serving on my village hall committee.”
Vimbi passionately believes that the Conservative Party membership must always have the final say on leadership of the Party. Members of the Conservative Party are its bedrock, they should never be sidelined or made to feel ignored, she opines.
